At the consultation you will be able to discuss what you wish to achieve with your operation with Barbara Jemec. She will guide you through your options and together you will be able to find the best solution.
She will explain how the procedures are done, the benefits and the potential complications and you will have a written information leaflet to take away.
Consultations take place at the Wellington Hospital (London Hand and Wrist Unit) or the Private Patient's Wing at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
The fee for a consultation is £180.
The fee for the consultation is deducted from the fee of the operation if you go ahead with the procedure if you are paying yourself.
The payment terms are within 60 days of the appointment. Late payment will incur an extra charge.
Insurance
If you are insured the insurance company will be billed for the consultation and the procedure separately and the consultation fee is therefore not included.
Please note that Insurance companies vary to how much of the fee they cover and you are liable for the difference.
If your procedure is covered by your insurance please bring your policy and authorisation number to the consultation.
